On Tuesday, May 11, 2024, SMUMS held a ceremony to introduce and honor its old and new presidents. The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Health Education, officials and managers from the field, as well as vice-presidents and officials from the university.

During the meeting, Mr. Bagheri Fard, Deputy Minister of Health Education expressed his gratitude for the two-year efforts of Dr. Khojasteh, the former president of the university, and the measures taken. He emphasized the importance and necessity of continuing the mission of the Smart University.

Following the session, Dr. Arash Khojasteh presented a report on the performance of the university during his 2 years and 4 months as president. He thanked the Ministry of Health and the officials for their support in advancing the goals of the university and fulfilling the expectations.

During the ceremony, Dr. Bakhtiari expressed his gratitude for the actions taken in the university. He emphasized the importance and necessity of education as one of his main concerns. He further stated that the Smart University of Medical Sciences, with its significance and special conditions, should play the main and coordinating role in educating and making other universities smarter. In this direction, it should proceed at high speed. The realization of this important thing can benefit everyone in the matter of health in the society.
