Participation of Smart Medical University in the Third Forum of CINVU

The general assembly of COMSTECH Inter-Islamic Network on Virtual Universities (CINVU) was held in Islamabad, Pakistan on May 11 and 12 with the virtual presence of representatives from Iran and member countries.

COMSTECH Inter-Islamic Network on Virtual Universities (CINVU) consists of 57 members and its permanent secretariat is in Iran. In the opening ceremony, the permanent secretary general of this forum emphasized the importance of increasing and promoting inter-university interactions to realize educational justice in all Islamic countries, especially the member universities. COMSTECH Inter-Islamic Network on Virtual Universities (CINVU) provides a rich base for strengthening and expanding higher education in the Islamic world, this network plays an important role in increasing the quality of education among member countries.

Dr. Seyed Ahmad Ahmadi, the Vice Chancellor of International Affairs of the Smart Medical University took an active part in the third general assembly’s virtual meeting of COMSTECH Inter-Islamic Network on Virtual Universities (CINVU) where he presented an overview of the activities and experiences of the Smart Medical University.  After the presentation of the activities and experiences of the member universities, the existing potentials and capacities were examined to strengthen further and develop public higher education in the virtual platform of information technology in member universities of the Islamic world.

On the second day, the new members of the Executive Committee of Islamic Virtual Universities were selected. In this election, representatives of the universities of Iran, Pakistan, Syria, Indonesia, Turkey, Chad, and Gabon were introduced as new committee members.
