Smart University of Medical Sciences has been selected as an observer member of the Executive Committee of the he COMSTECH Inter-Islamic Network on Virtual Universities (CINVU) this decision was announced during the Fourth General Assembly of Cinvue, attended by representative of universities and higher education institution from Islamic countries.

During the meeting, CINVU members reviewed the network’s key programs and determined the new composition of the Executive Committee. As part of this selection, SMUMS of Iran, alongside Bangladesh Open University, AJA University (Iran), Kuwait University, and the Islamic University of Uganda, was appointed as an observer member of the committee. Additionally, Allama Iqbal Open University of Pakistan was elected as the new chair of the committee.

Observer members of the CINVU Executive Committee play a crucial role in major decision-making processes, proposing innovative solutions for scientific and educational collaboration, and overseeing the implementation of approved programs. Leveraging its expertise in distance education and artificial intelligence, Smart Medical University aims to contribute actively to the committee’s initiatives and strengthen international academic partnerships.

The fourth General Assembly of CINVU also addressed key topics such as the establishment of the first international smart university, the development of evaluation and accreditation frameworks for education, and the organization of the first AI Olympiad. Participants underscored the importance of fostering scientific synergy among universities in the Islamic world and called for enhanced international cooperation in higher education.
