The international webinar titled"Micro-Accreditation for upskilling Medical Educators"was successfully held on January 18, 2025, hosted by Smart University of Medical Sciences (SMUMS) in collaboration with the International Medical University (IMU) Malaysia, ECOSF, and CINVU. The event, which drew significant attention from participants, explored the pivotal role of micro-accreditation in enhancing teaching skills and promoting the professional standing of medical educators.
The keynote speaker, Mr. Hasnain Zafar Baloch, Chief E-Learning Officer and Educational Module Coordinator at IMU Malaysia, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the importance of micro-accreditation for professional growth and adapting to the rapidly evolving landscape of medical education. His talk highlighted practical and up-to-date strategies for improving teaching methodologies and leveraging accreditation to achieve educational goals.
The webinar was moderated by Dr. Seyed Ahmad Ahmadi, Chancellor for International Affairs at SMUMS and Associate Professor of Health Policy. Dr. Ahmadi facilitated dynamic discussions and actively engaged participants in meaningful dialogue, fostering an environment of collaborative learning.
Among the distinguished attendees was prof. Dr. Seyed Komail Tayebi, president of the ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF), President of the ECOSF, who commended SMUMS for organizing this impactful event. He emphasized the positive role of such programs in strengthening regional and international scientific collaborations and expressed optimism for the continuation of these initiatives to promote knowledge sharing.
Additionally, Dr. Soleiman Ahmadi, Dean of the Faculty of Medical Education and Learning Technologies at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, contributed to the discussions by examining innovative approaches to accreditation and underscoring the significance of modern technologies in enhancing the quality of medical education.
