The Smart University of Medical Sciences, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, and Luqman Medical Education Centre signed a memorandum of collaboration on Monday, May 22, 2023. The leaders of all three medical centers came to the conclusion that considering the favorable conditions of Luqman Hakim Hospital, the use of AI in the hospital should be expanded.

In this meeting, Dr. Arash Khojasteh, the chancellor of the SMUMS, pointed out the functions of using technology in treatment and said: “artificial intelligence and benefiting from the capacity of digital technologies will facilitate the process of improving the health of the society.”

He further emphasized that the expansion of virtual platforms, the use of electronic dashboards, and facilitating the use of smart technology is the priority of the Smart University of Medical Sciences. He announced that the university was ranked 15th in the field of producing artificial intelligence articles last year and noted that the Smart University of Medical Sciences ranked first in the production of artificial intelligence articles in the region last year.

Dr. Zali, chancellor of SBUMS, described Luqman Hospital, as an active and renowned center that is providing health-oriented services and emphasized that new capacity should be created for the maximum use of artificial intelligence while providing collaborative infrastructure.
