In its internal bulletin, ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF) mentioned Smart University of Medical Sciences' Summer School of Health Law. According to the report: “ The Smart University of Medical Sciences in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, and Medical Education of Iran, the University of Paris-Saclay in France, HCLA – The Hague in the Netherlands, Düsseldorf University in Germany, and the ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF) successfully organized the Summer School on Health Law & Regulation from August 29 to 31, 2023. The event brought together representatives and leaders from the partnering institutions, along with renowned health experts. The event was held in a hybrid format, combining both in-person and virtual participation.The primary objective of the Summer School was to address the critical need for strengthening health laws and regulations, a vital aspect of public health systems. The event facilitated discussions, presentations, and knowledge sharing to enhance understanding and collaboration in this crucial field.”

ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF) is an intergovernmental organization and a specialized agency of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO). It was established in Islamabad, Pakistan in December 2011, with holding of the first meeting of Board of Trustees (BoT), the highest decision making body.

ECOSF aims to promote scientific and technology research with an end goal to raise socio-economic standing of ten member states (Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan).
